EU Day of debate with high school students in Halifax

Let’s debate the EU!!! This event held in the spring involves Halifax high school students and students from the Dalhousie Debating Society. Examples of debate questions include: Should the UK to re-join the EU? Should Turkey join the EU?  

On the day of the debate, after an introductory session in which the JM Chair presents the key pillars of the EU, students are divided into teams competing against each other on their assigned topics. Members of the Debating Society then decide who wins the final prize!
